May 31, Vandana Choudhary rated it it was amazing. The Belated Bachelor Party follows the group of 4 crazy punjabi desi friends Ravin, Harprit, Amardeep and Manpreet who plan their Euro Trip for their belated bachelor party.
They convince each other to go on this trip together and also convince their life Today I finished reading The Belated Bachelor Party and I really found it gripping and an exciting read.
They convince each other to go on this trip together and also convince their life partners to allow them to go on this trip. Ravin being the most responsible guy in their group takes care of all the planning involved for this trip and also manages flight and hotel bookings.
Finally these 4 friends living in different countries made it to for this special trip of their lives together and travel Europe and then the real fun begins.. Not just one but the book contains many funny stories detailing the connections these 4 characters share with each other.
These unstoppable four creates chaos and adventure wherever they go. Afterall friendship has a way of surviving through anything. This book not only explores friendship but also cover the way the special friends in our lives change us and shape who we are.
What I loved the most in this book? I loved how these friends have some real conversation and discuss every important aspect of their life specially the conversation about their parents while enjoying their trip.
Jul 08, Vidhya Thakkar rated it liked it. Well, the plot of the story is simple and predictive. There are a few twists that the author added to make it adventurous. The narration of the story is crisp but at some point, it starts making the reader tedious.
The writing style of the author is crisp and relatable. This story will make you nostalgic about all the good times with your friends. The pace of the story is a bit slow.

And some parts of book makes a smooth laughter. This book is a not page turner. Oct 01, Sayan rated it did not like it.
Pretty poor book without any story as such. Of course, the author must have been to Prague before but his fiction story lacks " story ". Nothing exciting about it. The author tried to make it a thriller but there is no thrill nor comedy. Jun 23, Kidliomag rated it really liked it. The Belated Bachelor party by Ravinder Singh.
This is story of four married friends who will go on a trip to Europe without their wife sounds intresting no but their trip become so hilarious and adventurous with lots of twists and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed the Punjabi language through out the book and humour part is good too.
Oct 12, Dhruv Sharma rated it it was ok Shelves: others. Average book, the plot is very good but execution is disappointing. The twist and Problem situation comes after a lot of context setting but the characters comes out of the problem in lines story only.
Jun 02, The Bookish Elf rated it it was amazing. Read something so hilarious after such a long time. Way too witty and filled with sarcasm, this book is surely going to be one of your favorite books! The premise I got from reading the blurb was that there was an unexpected 'incident' during the bachelor party trip of four best friends to Europe.
But the story does have some build up to 'the moment'. I liked all four characters, though Ravin definitely has a little more! I was blown away by how they got together and how they b Read something so hilarious after such a long time. I was blown away by how they got together and how they became the ultimate family.
A Well-written book, with very realistic depictions of the characters' feelings. The story was progressive and made me want to continue on until I finished it.
The situations created by a little misforturne and by more of their mistakes make thie book worth even more of your time. The characters were written real enough that you develop a soft spot for them.
I really loved this book. I found myself laughing so hard I had tears running down my face at certain scenes. Ravin is a great character to follow and I'm glad I got to be in his head for the duration of the book. The smart and snarky remarks the four of them make, the nicknames they give to eachother, and their interactions with the people around them really make this one a gem.
I was glad that the book got a little bit more serious at the some places and addressed some of the more pressing issues. This was a hot read and enjoyed the belated bachelor party concept! Highly recommend it if you want a story that will make you smile and feel so good at the ending!!! Jun 11, Muskan The Quirky Reader rated it liked it.
He has somehow made four not-very-attractive men who are aged in their forties amazing protagonists, their story appealing, even to a teenage mind. The story is that of a reunion of four college friends; Ravin, Harprit, Amardeep and Manpreet. They get to talking about their reunion trip and realise that even though they are all now married, they never threw each other a bachelor party, therefore the name. The four friends take a bachelor trip to Europe and what follows is a series of adventures and misadventures.
The book has an amazing writing style, carefree yet mature in ways, with a hint of childishness since they are college friends after all. There is a desi touch of Punjabi to the book and it just enhances the feels. However, I did expect a little more to come. Since there were parts where they reminisced over college, I hoped for some flashback chapters too.
Nevertheless, it was a refreshing read. Very much recommended. Oct 10, Manikandan Pandiyan rated it it was amazing. Best book to enjoy friendship. Jun 18, John Trident rated it it was ok. Cover has been designed really well, considering the fact that this is a funny book to read.
Because it caught my attention. Only at the beginning of the book, 'prologue' which drove me to read the complete book. To my dismay, it was slight interesting only in the initial few chapters. The additional pages weren't necessary at all. If this book was a short read, then it would have been feasible. The sense of humour incorporated throughout the book totally failed.
It's like the author forced his book to be funny via many plausible attempts which can be seen evidently thoroughly throughout - but he failed miserably. So I maynot suggest this for younger generation.
There're only few aspects I liked about the book, which I'm sharing below : 'Why do Indian men ogle more than those from the developed world? Sometimes unknowningly, where women may perceive men's gaze as lustful even if it was appreciative in nature. Because we're a sexually repressive society.
You see, when you're starving, you turn into an animal. When you're satisfied, you're human. Lack of sex education also adds to the cause. The combination of these two leads to curiosity. If it's about belonging to a sexually repressive society, why don't Indian women display the same behaviour? I mean, why only one gender?
In addition, I think that our skewed gender ratio too has a role to play. The imbalance drives this animal-like instinct. Top it with the historical trend of objectification of women in bollywood.
Even women check out men if they're hot, but they don't make it too obvious. Because women have rightfully equal rights, they too want to stare at men. Women love the idea of being looked at. They find that there's a possibility that staring at them is a proof that they're attractive. They too enjoy being stated at, but that depends on the kind of guy who's checking her out.
That will determine whether she enjoys the attention or not. Men should observe the woman's body language. She'll drop hints. If she doesn't like it, she'll convey it without even speaking. Because the woman is the one who's being looked at.
She isn't an object but a living being. You aren't supposed to keep staring at her unless she welcomes your gaze. Men should pick those hints given by women. In fact, if the man is smart enough, this staring thing can be used as a powerful tactic to woo women, if it's used judiciously by men.
Be watchful of the person you're looking at. Follow her or his body language for cues on whether or not he or she is liking it. Why do our parents want us to live the way they want us to live? Because they tend of believe they know better than us. Because they've spent more time on this planet than us. But the problem lies in the fact that they should raising them.
They don't get that, beyond a point, it's their children's lives they're interfering in. But wisdom lies in understanding that even if their children are a piece of their heart, their minds are independent. They don't want to live in this world by their parents standards. In fact, to expect their children to live as per their parents' choices in itself in incorrect.
It compromises the very fundamental aspect of freedom. Aug 29, Kanwarpal Singh rated it really liked it.
