Other ways to get around Astraeus's cheats are using Melt to dispel the shield, or casting Pierce, Shatter, or Steal Ward to remove it.

Fire hitters, be careful with this boss because he can use Quench. He also knows Satyr and Smokescreen, making this fight the most annoying one in the Trial of the Spheres.

The struggle may be worth it for you, though, because Astraeus drops some rare stuff like the Sea Dragon pet and Exalted Duels. This is a hint on how to get around his cheat. To solve this problem, you can cast a blade or a global spell, and he will say "You have charmed your way into my heart! You can also use ice dispels to prevent this cheat or use Pierce, Shatter, or Steal Ward to take the shield off. Ptolemos will also remove any traps or wards put on him, including prisms. This makes it a very hard fight for a death wizard because of his high resist, so it is recommended that death wizards get help for this dungeon.

To get around this cheat, myth dispels will prevent him from casting Cleanse Ward, or you could stick to multitarget traps or multitraps like elemental or spirit traps, although he will remove the last trap on a multitrap. If you have a higher level wizard with you that knows Indemnity, this fight can go much quicker. Mithraya is the final boss of the Trial of the Spheres, and the final boss you will face in Celestia. She will recast this on whoever manages to cast a spell without fizzling.

How do you get past this fizzle-fest? If you manage to put a blade on yourself and a trap on Mithraya, the "cards will align" and she will stop spamming Smokescreen.

You can cast triple blades and traps, and the unused ones will stay on and keep her from resuming her cheat. It is best to stack blades and traps for a one-hit kill because Mithraya knows several healing spells and uses them often.
