Disappearing mouse pointer windows xp

Looking carefully, when the disappears from the remote desktop portion of the screen, if I move it around that window it sometimes flickers. If I turn on the "show mouse location when hitting the control key" in Windows XP it does find it in that window. They are both regularly updated with auto update. Software common to both machines is: Mcafee Virusscan Enterprise 7. I am connecting to and experiencing the problem on remote desktops on Windows server and Windows standard.

The problem will usually happen after I have switched to another desktop and then switch back to an already connected desktop. I will watch to see if this is the only time it happens over the next few hours, but at this point I think it is. Remote Desktops is a fantastic tool.

I am looking forward to getting this small glitch figured out. All desktop themes and visual enhancements are disabled.
