Paul, I know this is an old post but I had an Exchange 07 box that gave me hell last night until I found your post. My problem was your second example. Great site….. I located the UpdateOWA. I ran the updateowa. Just so you all know, you are all life-savers. Thank you very much for sharing the knowledge, I was just about to throw a fit. Thanks alot! I too faced same problem in the OWA, re installing the cert. Went into the command shell and updateowa. My issue was Rollup 7 update interrupted by power outage.
Uninstall all rollups and install rollup7 Everything works fine now also Absence wizard Thanks. This is in a lab however, with Windows 32bit, and Exchange 32bit. I had the same scenario tonight.
So my understanding is u have issues sending emails as well as OWA, correct? Post : 6. I only run OWA on this server and since we get timeout errors, there's no e-mail of any kind. My clients cannot log in to view received messages nor to send any, obviously. Post : 7. Most definitely! Any idea why this would have been unselected? Are you the only administrator managing this server?
Post : 8. Okay, with the bindings changed I still cannot access OWA. So, no change. Post : 9. Okay, considering your posts, I think my issue is DNS.
But, I'm not very certain. I can ping the website and get the correct IP back ping mywebsite. Why the difference and where can I fix that? I don't want to keep making changes in my DNS and getting lost further. Thanks again. Post : I am actually more surprised that you can ping mywebsite. Since you are able to ping the website with the correct IP address, then that should mean the problem is not DNS. What happens when you type in mywebsite. Do you get the "Under Construction" page?
Yeah, weird about the IP address. I even get notifications to accept or view the Certificate. The reason I thought it's DNS is because when I ran the Exchange Baseline Analyzer I received errors stating that the virtual server name and the fqdn are not the same. I attempted to change the names virtual server and fqdn at separate instances and they just flip flop when I rerun the test But why is it I get a different IP for "mywebsite.
It is important to understand that Exchange virtual directories are stored in two locations: Active Directory and IIS. Find the virtual directory you want to recreate in this partition. Delete the directory you want by right-clicking on it and choosing Delete. After fighting this for days this is the only solution that worked in my environment.
